WCS is very proud to be a part of Apollo5’s concert! Our members will be participating in a small workshop with this internationally acclaimed group and will then be able to share the stage with them showcasing our own director’s father’s work, Na Ke Akua ‘Oe Kia’i by John McCreary.
Praised for their powerful singing and distinctive sound, the award-winning British vocal ensemble Apollo5 proves how dynamic only five voices can be. With such small forces they are able to showcase each individual voice while still achieving their critically acclaimed blend.
Whether performing jazz, pop, classical or even early sacred music, they are known for their exceptional communication with audience, frequently performing from memory. Apollo5 enjoys a busy world-wide concert diary, as well as being committed to providing inspiring musical opportunities for young people and communities.
