“A Musical Journey”
Windward Choral Society presents its 11th annual spring concert, “A Musical Journey.” There is a little something for everyone at this concert. Music to be featured are selected movements from our recent Honolulu performance of Gabriel Fauré’s Requiem, but the program also includes a Maori number called “Kia Hora Te Marino,” several Hawaiian songs including “Palehua,” “Keawaiki,” and “Hīmeni Hope,” and a reprise of two songs from our Black History month concert in February.
The performance takes place at St. John Vianney Parish in Kailua on Sunday, May 19, at 4:00 PM. The presentation features the 100 voices of the Windward Choral Society, under the direction of Susan McCreary Duprey. Dr. Tommy Yee is the accompanist.
Admission is free and no tickets are required. A freewill offering will be taken to offset the costs of the performance.
