After a two year hiatus, ’tis the season to sing! Come as you are and help us celebrate the season in song! “Carol of Joy” will feature the 90 voices of the Windward Choral Society, guest singers, Artistic Director Susan McCreary Duprey, and Collaborative Pianist Thomas Yee.
Two performances will be offered.
The first concert will take place at Kailua United Methodist Church, 1110 Kailua Road, on Friday, December 9, 2022, 7:00 PM. The second concert will take place at St. Anthony of Padua Church, 148 Makawao Street, on Sunday, December 11, 2022, 3:00 PM. Both concerts are free and open to the public.
Featured works this fall season include movements from Vivaldi’s Gloria and repertoire by Dan Forrest, Mark Hayes, Jace Saplan, Eric Whitacre; to include music from Zambia, Brazil, Hawaiʻi, Great Britain and more! To top it off, the audience will get to join in and sing along to a few familiar Christmas carols. Bring the entire family and enjoy this free community holiday event! Donations are appreciated.
